JAKE Turner was a multiple winner at Brightlingsea Regent’s end-of-season awards night, on Saturday.

The popular midfielder scooped the supporters’, players’ and manager’s award after an outstanding campaign for the Bostik League side.

Turner made 50 appearances, chipping in with six goals and earning nine man-of-the-match awards.

Elsewhere, there were two awards for goalkeeper James Bradbrook.

The shot-stopper was named young player-of-the-year and also made the most appearances during the season – 54.

Within that tally, he kept a clean sheet 15 times.

Billy Hunt was Regent’s top scorer with 19 goals, finishing with seven more than departing front man Aaron Condon.

However, there was a ‘final thank you’ award for the former FC Clacton striker, who is leaving the club and moving to Sussex.

Condon is third in Regent’s all-time scoring list with 63 goals.

Jake Gould was also the recipient of a special award as he heads the R’s all-time appearance list, having featured 410 times.

Goalkeeping coach John Albon was named clubman of the season.

The awards ceremony took place at Regent’s Taydal Stadium clubhouse on Saturday night.

Tom Rothery's Brightlingsea finished 13th in the table, ending their campaign with a 1-0 victory against Enfield Town on April 27.
