The 372 page illustrated, colour hardback features players past and present, club members and other supporters who share their memories of playing and watching the county, which was founded in 1876.
The book recalls key moments, matches, batsmen, bowlers, wicket-keepers, all-rounders, fielders and overseas stars - all of which have made Essex a successful county cricket club.
There is also a chapter on the festival grounds previously used by the club.
