This month, Marlow Football Club celebrated their 150th birthday.

Formed during a meeting at the Compleat Angler Hotel on November 22, 1870, the club are currently sitting in 11th place in the Isthmian League South Central Division league table, with five points from their four games played so far this league season.

And to celebrate a century-and-a-half of football in the town, those at the club would like you to share your stories relating to Marlow FC.

In a Facebook that was published on their birthday, they said: “As we are celebrating our 150th Anniversary today [November 22], we would love to see and hear about any of your memories of the club.

“Have you played or coached for the club, have you volunteered, or maybe you have visited the club for an event?

“Let’s hear about it.”

The club formed on November 22, 1870

Scott Webb replied back by saying: “Played for youth, reserves and sat on the bench for first-team plenty [of times].

“The year the reserves won the league was prob [probably] [the] best team I played in and by far the greatest memories!”

Cam Bruce then added: “Used to play for the U18 team from the age of 15 to 18.

“Great memories!”

On Twitter, Kevin Davies said: “Great club with great playing memories.

“First season in Diadora Prem I think it was back then 1988/89 we won our first game of the season on New Year’s Day away v Dagenham.

“Stayed up by a point if I recall.

“No nonsense team of good local players.”

Twitter user Ranger2012 said: “The game against Reading to celebrate the arrival of floodlights and a 2-1 Win in 1972.

“Better than the opening game v Alec Stock's Luton - A heavy 0-6 defeat moderated by Alec telling Jock Cairns these are great floodlights.

“We are going to get some put in Kenilworth Road.”

MyNameIsntInigo said: “I still remember my first ever football match, Marlow v VS Rugby, match before a certain trip to North London...Hooked for life after that!”

The club is one of the oldest clubs in English football, and if they were to be a member of the EFL, then Marlow FC would be older than clubs such as Reading, Birmingham City, Bolton Wanderers, and Aston Villa.
