SOUTHEND United legend Kevin Maher remains the bookmakers' favourite to be the Shrimpers' next boss.
Maher made 455 appearances for Blues during a 10 year spell at Roots Hall which also saw him skipper the side to back to back promotions.
The 43-year-old also spent four years as the Shrimpers' under 23 team before becoming first team coach at Bristol Rovers last summer.
Maher is 6/4 with the bookmakers to replace Sol Campbell at Roots Hall while his former Shrimpers team-mate Adam Barrett is 4/1.
