DANNY Scopes hailed his clinical Concord Rangers after sealing a convincing 5-0 victory over Eastbourne Borough.

Kreshnic Krasniqi grabbed a brace of goals, while Joel Nouble, Kit Elliott and Aron Pollock were also on target in the National League South triumph at the Aspect Arena.

While admitting the Beach Boys were not at their best, Scopes was pleased to see his side clinch all three points after taking their chances.

“It was a good game from our point of view and being 4-0 up at half-time in any game is great,” said the Concord chief.

“I wouldn’t say we necessarily dominated the opening period but the difference is that we were clinical.

“It was an even game but we took our chances and they are game-defining moments.

“I thought we played better at Wealdstone, but we came away with nothing.”

The Beach Boys raced into a four-goal lead before the break.

Krasniqi gave Concord a dream start by finding the bottom corner of the net inside four minutes.

And the midfielder put daylight between the two sides by doubling his tally soon before the half-hour mark.

Nouble then slotted home to add his name to the scoresheet and there was still time for the hosts to grab a fourth goal before the interval.

Having seen Nouble thwarted, Elliott was first to the loose ball and the Huddersfield Town loanee found the back of the net.

Central defender Pollock acrobatically completed the scoring with five minutes remaining.

As a result, Concord found the back of the net 11 times in the space of four days having also registered a 6-0 win over Great Wakering Rovers in midweek.

And Scopes insists he is always confident that the Beach Boys will get on the scoresheet.

“We have been trying to follow the process while playing against top opposition,” added Scopes.

“We have kept going and it was important that we beat a team around us in the table.

“If you look at the attacking options in the squad, we will always create chances to score.

“It’s a case of us also needing to stay tight at the back and keep clean sheets.

“If we manage to do that, we will get a lot of positive results.

“Having goalscorers at one end of the pitch and keeping clean sheets at the other end of the pitch is a recipe for success.”
