CHELMSFORD City Ladies were no match for Leigh Ramblers as they went down in the Essex County Women’s Football League.

The Clarets team lost 6-3 in the Premier Division clash at Salerno Way.

With just two points between the teams ahead of kick-off, Chelmsford knew victory would see them leapfrog Leigh into the top three.

But they never looked likely to match their opponents.

Down 2-0 at half-time, the Clarets second half goals came from substitutes George James (two) and Lisa Overall.
