CHELMSFORD Rugby Club have welcomed back Adam Capper for the forthcoming season.

The 30-year-old, who has had previous stints with Barking and Brentwood in London 1, started his rugby career with Chelmsford as a mini player before joining Colchester.

But the England U16s and Saracens academy player will now play in London North East 3 next term.

“I believe Chelmsford can achieve great things in the years to come,” said Capper. “The club and coaches have a real passion to succeed at higher levels and I can’t wait to get out on the pitch.

“Kevin Blackmore [director of rugby] has set out clear goals for the senior teams and I’m excited to be part of the club once again.”

“I hope this shows our intent as a club, that in spite of some players deciding to move on, that we are very much open for business and this shouldn’t be the last good news on player recruitment this summer,” said Blackmore.
