ALI Carter enjoyed a run to the third round of the Snooker Shoot-Out last week as he looks to build up a run of form ahead of the final months of the season.
Carter, who lives in Chelmsford, was beaten by eventual semi-finalist Mark Davis in the round of 32.
It followed victories against Craig Steadman and Joe Swail in the one -frame format - with the competition won by Michael Georgiou on Sunday.
Carter will now look forward to the World Grand Prix, to be held in Preston, having qualified as one of the top 32 ranked players.
The 38-year-old has already reached finals in the Championship League and the World Games this season, and was a semi-finalist at the China Championship.
