Chelmsford City 0-0 Dartford
From the Melbourne Stadium
National League South play-off semi-final first-leg
IT is all to play for in the second-leg after Chelmsford City and Dartford played out a goalless draw in the first-leg of their National League South play-off semi-final.
Both sides haven’t struggled for goals this term but they cancelled each other out at the Melbourne Stadium.
Chelmsford’s first chance came through Robbie Willmott but his 20-yard strike through a crowded box, was inches past the post.
Louie Theophanous’ chip brought the best out of Deren Ibrahmin in the away goal before the visitors fought back, with Luke Wanadio a likely source from out wide.
Chris Dickson sent an effort off the top of the crossbar from long range, while Theophanous couldn’t get a clean contact on the ball from in the penalty area shortly afterwards.
Half chances followed but it remains all to play for ahead of the second-leg at Princes Park on Sunday afternoon.
Chelmsford City: Fitzsimons, Hill, Daley, Porter, Bush, Haines, Willmott, Church, Theophanous (Jeffers 84’), Dickson, Rees
