CHELMSFORD City lost 3-2 to Harlow Town in the second round of the Essex County Women’s League Cup after conceding two goals in the opening 11 minutes.
Georgia Sleep pulled a goal back in the 40th minute and on the hour Daisy Dobbs levelled the scores, but with eight minutes left Harlow scored their winner.
“We played exceptionally well today and we certainly didn’t allow Harlow to play the way they’ve been used to playing” said City Boss Simon Horne.
“Our second half performance was the best I’ve seen all season and if we can replicate that in every game then we’ll certainly be in contention for the league title.”
