If you are starting to feel the winter chill, then let music warm your soul, at the Chelmsford Civic Theatre; the venue has some great live music shows coming taking to the stage this November.

The Simon and Garfunkel Story comes direct from The West End, where it enjoyed sold out performances and standing ovations. The show celebrates the skilful folk/pop song writing of Paul Simon and the beautiful tenor voice of Art Garfunkel, using huge projection images, original film footage and a full live band.

All the hits such as ‘Mrs Robinson', ‘Homeward Bound' and ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water' are played in this 50th anniversary celebration of the duo, who called themselves Tom and Jerry in 1957.

The Simon and Garfunkel Story is on Wednesday November 1 at 7.45pm.

On Sunday November 12, Lipstick on Your Collar rocks and rolls into Chelmsford. The show charts the birth of Rock N Roll through to the British Beat Invasion.

The show is packed with over 40 monster hits performed by a full live band that comprises top musicians direct from West End shows. There will be dancing in the aisle to the hits of Buddy Holly, Connie Francis, Chuck Berry, The Beatles, Cliff Richard, Brenda Lee and many more.

Doors are 7.15pm and the performance starts at 7.45pm.

Rocking and Rolling with Laughter goes back to the golden age of Liverpool's music, comedy and entertainment scene. The show is a mix of classic Merseybeat music and scouse comedy, the style taking inspiration from classic TV shows Ready Steady Go, Juke Box Jury and Opportunity Knocks.

If you love the sound, style and humor of the sixties, then this is the show for you. The amazing line-up includes Cavern Club regulars The Merseybeats, Beryl Marsden, The Dakotas and a beautiful tribute to Cilla Black.

The show comes to The Civic Theatre on Wednesday November 15 at 7.45pm.

The most "swingsational" show of the year, Rat Pack Live, arrives on Thursday 16 November at 7.45pm. The show features a full swing live band and the UK's best tributes to Dean Martin, Sammy Davies Jnr and ‘Ol' Blue Eyes' himself, Frank Sinatra.

Dean Martin comes direct, fresh from playing Dino in the West End and international tours. Sammy Davies Jnr has toured the UK and has performed alongside Judy Carmichael at New York's Rainbow Rooms. Frank Sinatra has played at The Strand, Savoy and Adelphi Theatres. The show is full of the charisma, panache and swagger of the original trio's 1950s and 60s Vegas years, the show faithfully recrates the razzamatazz of the Rat Pack.
