A recovery truck driver has been fined for carrying a dangerous load after he was spotted transporting a car which was not tied down.
Police tweeted a picture of the car hanging over the edge of the truck which road policing officers stopped in West Lothian.
Officers said the winch had broken “and driver felt it was ok to transport a car in this position and without it being tied down.”
The driver was fined for having a dangerous load.
Police said the motorist was not allowed to drive until the car had been removed.
The incident happened on Monday evening near Whitburn.
