AN aerodrome has announced it will open its hangar doors to visitors once again next month.

Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome confirmed it will reopen on May 21, subject to government guidance.

It will have new opening hours of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10am-4pm.

The signature annual Wings and Wheels event will take place on the May 30 bank holiday weekend when visitors can see fabulous historic aircraft take to the sky, alongside a great array of classic cars on display

As a bonus, The Nimy Company will take residency each month on site.

The Nimy Company, 4th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers are affiliated to the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers and are regulars at the Tower of London and the Royal Air Force Museum, and they will be offering an insight into life during the heyday of the aerodrome.

Chief executive Ian Flint said: “We are so happy to be able to open the site to our many supporters, old and new, this year.

“It has been a testing time for all of us, but together, and thanks to our generous supporters across the country, we are going to have a brilliant year.”
