A FOOTBALL club is looking for former players to get in touch as it prepares to celebrate a special anniversary.
Beacon Hill Rovers Football Club, in Wickham Bishops, celebrates 100 years since its formation this year and bosses are planning a weekend of celebrations to mark the occasion.
The club was set up in 1921 by soldiers returning from the First World War who initially set up a Saturday men’s team.
More teams have been added through the years, including ladies, youth and veterans.
And to celebrate the upcoming landmark, club bosses are hoping to invite former players and members back for a big party.
A spokesman said: “In June, the club is holding a weekend of centenary celebrations.
“There is also a 100-year history being written so any stories, photos, press cuttings and memories will be gratefully received.
“If you’re a former Beacon Hill player, it would be great to hear from you.”
