A unique new garden machinery showroom has opened.

Maldon Garden Machinery was opened in Latchingdon by Maldon District Council chairman Robert Boyce.

The shop, which is the first of its kind in the Maldon district, was due to be opened earlier this year but the opening had to be pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The team has been working hard over the last six months to bring the service to the area.

Office manager Belinda Ring said: “We’re excited to unveil our new, modern showroom where we offer a great range of high quality brands of mowers and garden machinery to our customers, giving friendly and expert hands on advice no matter what size their garden.

“We also offer spare parts and a full after-sales service from our on-site workshop facilities, ensuring that we can meet all our customers needs.

“We planned to open earlier in the year but due to lockdown we pushed it back.

“We started off with a bare unit on the estate and now it’s all been built for the showroom and in our onsite workshop as well.

“If there is anything we don’t stock we aim to order it in for the customer.”

The new showroom stocks brands such as Alko, Mitox, Weibang and Cobra.

Belinda added: “There really isn’t anything like us in the area.

“We want to be able to offer an expert service.

“We have a really friendly team here who will help if anyway possible

“We are just trying to cater to everyone in the area and it’s going well so far.”
