THE spirit of Celtic rock will be kept alive with the arrival of Limehouse Lizzy at the Civic Theatre, Chelmsford.

The tribute band to Philip Lynott and his band Thin Lizzy are renowned for an action-packed pyrotechnic-fuelled explosion of a show.

They will be rocking the stage on Saturday, June 26.

Attention to detail, playful audience interaction and that all important X-factor leave fans with the feeling of witnessing the real thing, leading to their performances being described as “beyond tribute” by both audiences and critics alike.

After successes with two previous tour shows Live and Dangerous and Dedication, the band have embarked upon their Into the Limelight tour.

This saw them headline at the Rhodes Rock festival in Greece, and the Virgin Atlantic Music Festival in Barbados.

The band appeared alongside diverse world music acts, and played a Thin Lizzy set representing the celtic rock genre.

Their latest tour continues to explore and celebrate the artistic and musical legacy of the hard-living, hard-rocking, yet at times surprisingly tender and romantic artist that was Philip Lynott. Expect to hear classic Thin Lizzy tracks such as Whiskey in the Jar, The Boys are Back in Town and the beautiful Sarah, plus many others. This highly-rated act encompasses greatly the spirit and razzmatazz of the original band with a natural charisma and entertaining charm that continues to wow audiences wherever they go.

Tickets cost £16, concessions and groups £14.
