A WOMAN who launched a rape inquiry in Chelmsford has withdrawn her allegation.
The 24-year-old, from the town, claimed she had been raped by two men in Central Park, on Friday, June 4.
Police released an e-fit of one of the suspects and asked for witnesses.
She has now withdrawn her allegation and detectives are satisfied she was not the victim of any offence.
A spokesman for Essex Police said enquiries will continue to determine whether any offences have been committed in regard to the complaint.
