CHELMSFORD’S festival for people big and small drew record numbers of guests to Hylands Park.
About 12,500 visitors crowded into Chelmsford City Council’s 3foot People Festival last week, where they enjoyed a rich variety of activities.
A village for pre-schoolers, the park bustled with gym classes, art workshops, drama, music, puppets, storytelling, a giant sand pit, crafts, science and a petting farm.
Event co-ordinator Andrew Winmill, said: “It went really well and I’d like to give a big thank you to everyone who came and everyone who helped set the event up.
“We always try to keep it fresh, with new activities, and we’ll be looking at ways to make next year’s bigger and better.”
The festival began Tuesday (June 28) and ended Thursday (June 30), before making way for the Fling Festival during the weekend.
