A CREATIVE pub has launched a “Boris menu” and is offering meals for as little as two quid so it can comply with the Government’s new coronavirus restrictions.

The Kings Head in Gosfield has launched the new menu, offering the likes of hotdog and chips and cheesy beans on toast, in response to the new Tier Two restrictions, which mean hospitality businesses can only serve alcohol with a “substantial meal”.

Named after Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the new menu offers a small selection of cheap meals for those not wanting to order from the main menu.

A spokesman for the pub said: “We will work within the rules and continue to provide a Covid-secure environment for our guests to safely enjoy, potentially introducing a limited stay duration.

“Please note these are ‘substantial’ meals, but not the most accomplished of dishes.

“We will still be running our usual amazing main menu for those looking for a delicious meal out but by offering the Boris Menu we hope to continue to cater for our local community that rely on the pub.

“We look forward to welcoming you again soon,”
