I QUITE agree that inconsiderate drivers should be fined when getting stuck in The Strood BUT I don’t think the signage is clear and there should be lights on it.
Locals know that it can flood and that the markers will tell them the depth of the water.
However people who are new to the area may not know that the Strood can flood.
There is nothing telling them that when they arrive at The Strood.

When it is dark it is difficult to see that it is flooded and spot the markers until you get there.
There should be signs at the entrance to The Strood from both sides warning that The Strood can flood.
It would be useful to also be showing a tide timetable.
