BUDDING music-makers and comedy wannabes of all ages enjoyed a goofy and chaotic experience at a performing arts venue in Colchester.

The Colchester Arts Centre staged the Mighty Kids Beatbox Comedy Show in front of a packed crowd of children and adults.

The show is the wacky creation of funny man Jarred Christmas and champion beatboxer Jack “Hobbit” Hobbs, and has been previously nominated for numerous awards.

Throughout the performance, the duo interacted with members of the audience, even encouraging some to get on stage and become part of the show.

Consisting of an interesting mixture of side-splitting and silly comedy, in addition to impressive beatboxing, children and willing parents all took part in the marvellous madness.

The high-energy wackiness of the Mighty Kids Beatbox Comedy Show certainly lived up to reviews having been lauded by critics and described as “phenomenal” and “pure entertainment”.

The quirky performers helped guests learn the art of beatboxing and stand-up comedy, while also engaging in an afternoon of kookiness.

Some fans also managed to win prizes, but even those who weren’t so lucky, left with a spring in their step and a smile across their face.
