THE Mercury Theatre has launched a new programme to help people explore their untapped potential.
Mercury Creatives, funded by the European Regional Development Fund, will provide business support and professional development to 100 small to medium enterprises.
The year-long programme will help the businesses to grow.
Those enrolled will have access to the new production, studio, rehearsals and digital facilities being built at the theatre.
Steve Mannix, executive director of the Mercury Theatre said: “We are delighted to have been able to receive this funding to invest in the next generation of artists, theatre-makers, creatives and professionals associated to the performing arts.
"Mercury Creatives will help to support the continued growth of the arts, culture and creative industries in Colchester, Essex and the South East region.”
Applications are now open for Mercury Creatives and close on 11th December 2019.
