TWO new centres for taking blood samples are to open in Chelmsford following the closure of St John’s Hospital.
They will be located in the centre of the town, in addition to the service already operating at Broomfield Hospital.
Chelmsford Medical Centre, which is located opposite the Chelmsford and Essex Centre, in New London Road, will open to patients on Monday, November 22.
The unit will provide a phlebotomy service on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday of each week, from 8am to 12.45pm.
Christchurch Reform Church, also in New London Road, opens the following Monday, providing a service on Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 7am to 3.45pm.
