Cats Protection, the UK's leading cat welfare charity, is looking to find some new homes for five adorable felines.
Across Essex, volunteers and staff take in and care for cats who find themselves homeless before matching them with new owners to ensure they get a second chance.
The charity has branches covering Basildon, Brentwood & District, Rayleigh & Castle Point, Southend & District, and the Essex Cat Centre in Chelmsford.
Here are some of the beautiful cats looking for new homes.

Fergus
Fergus, a five-year-old black cat with a big heart, is looking for a new family to shower with love and affection.
A friendly cat, Fergus loves attention, whether it's seeking pets, curling up next to his favourite person, or taking a nap.
Despite a moderate heart murmur, Fergus remains a loving and sweet companion.

Bella and Ella
Four-year-old sisters Bella and Ella are on a mission to find a home where they can stay together.
Initially timid, these cats show their affectionate nature once they're comfortable, sometimes settling on laps.
Fond of their mouse toys, the sisters love to groom each other and snuggle up together.
A quiet home with no other pets or young children, alongside a garden away from busy roads, would be ideal.

Despite having three legs, Tigerlily comfortably uses her bed and enjoys getting around.
She enjoys spending time outside and would need a rural location where she can safely roam.

Sequoia
Sequoia, a charming cat who dedicated herself to raising her six kittens, is now looking for a home where she can enjoy love and attention for herself.
Confident and affectionate, Sequoia is an excellent fit for families with kids of all ages.
It's hoped that without her kittens around, Sequoia will be able to reveal her playful side even more and become a delightful companion for her new family.
