New CCTV footage has been released in the search for the missing Brazilian woman Vitória Barreto, who has been missing for just under a month.

Vitória Figueiredo Barreto, 30, has been missing since March 3 and was last seen in the Hurst Green area of Brightlingsea in a boat yard close to Copperas Road.

The last confirmed sighting of her is now at 12.22am on March 4.

Essex police has revealed two new clips of footage and are urging people to share it.

The first clip shows a person believed to be Vitória in a field south of Hurst Green, between Back Waterside Lane and Mill Street, at 3.33pm on March 3, one hour after she was seen in Hurst Green.

The second clip shows Vitória walking through an industrial site on the south side of Copperas Road, closer to the Brightlingsea Creek and the marina, at 12.22am.

Officers continue to work with international partners to seek access to Vitória's communication and financial data, hoping to find another line of investigation.

Detective Superintendent Anna Granger said: “We’re continuing to work to close the timeframe between the last known sighting of Vitória and the time which we know a boat was unmoored from a pontoon.

“Whilst we are not able to conclusively say it was Vitória who unmoored that boat, which was found adrift at Bradwell-on-Sea, this new confirmed sighting brings her closer to that area and does strengthen the view that it was her.

“We’ve always based our searches on the basis the person is Vitória but we would dearly love to provide her loved ones with certainty – and we’re continuing to work to do that.

“We’re continuing to work with international partners to gain access to Vitória's communication and financial data which we hope could open up further lines of enquiry.

"All our requests have been made through the correct channels and we’re ready to receive that information as soon as possible.

“I would again appeal to anyone with information which could help us find Vitória to please come forward.

"Did you see her walking in a field between Back Waterside Lane and Mill Street on the afternoon of March 3?

“Have you seen her since the early hours of March 4?

“Vitória's loved ones have many questions and we’re working incredibly hard to give them the answers they need.”
