As petrol and diesel prices continue to increase, here are the cheapest and most expensive petrol stations across North and Mid Essex.

According to RAC data, since the beginning of the Iran conflict, diesel prices have hiked 38.8p, with petrol prices increasing on average 19.2p since February 28.

According to petrolprices.co.uk, these are the cheapest and dearest fuelling spots across North and Mid Essex areas.

Colchester

The cheapest fuelling station in Colchester according to the data is Asda on Turner road with petrol at 147.9p per litre and diesel at 177.7p per litre.

The most expensive listed on petrol prices is the Shell Birchwood on Ipswich Road with petrol at 157.9p per litre and diesel at 186.9p per litre.

Braintree

The cheapest spot to fill up in Braintree, according to the data, is Sainsbury's on Coggeshall Road where petrol is 145.9p per litre and diesel is 174.9p per litre.

The dearest is listed as BP Bradwell Service Station on Coggeshall Road also where petrol is 154.9p per litre and diesel is 185.9p per litre.

Maldon

In Maldon, the cheapest fuelling station is listed as Hyde Lane Service Station where petrol is 146.9p per litre and diesel is 175.9p per litre.

The most expensive, according to the data is BP MFG Latchingdon on The Street, where unleaded is 153.9p per litre and diesel is 183.9p per litre.

Clacton-on-Sea

The cheapest spot to fill up in Clacton is listed as the Asda on Bull Hill Road, where petrol costs 145.7p per litre and diesel costs 174.7p per litre.

The most expensive fuelling location is listed as Murco on Golf Green Road where petrol is 157.9p per litre and diesel is 185.9p per litre.

Chelmsford

According to the data, the cheapest spot to fuel up in Chelmsford is Co-op on Baddow Road where petrol is 149.9p per litre and diesel is 177.9p per litre.

The most expensive are both the Shell on Stock Road and the Shell on Eagle Way where petrol is 159.9p per litre and diesel is 188.9p per litre.
