Llandybie RFC's final game with prop Dai Lloyd ended in disappointment as the team went down to Trimsaran.

In another blow, the club was also relegated.

Lloyd, who was named team captain for his last game, and was given a guard of honour by the players, called time on his career after 21 seasons and more than 400 appearances since 2003.

Speaking ahead of the game, he said: "It was time to give the youngsters a chance!"

The WRU Admiral League 3 West B match at King George V playing field saw Llandybie lose by 28 points to 17 on Thursday, May 2.

Although they got the win on the night, Trimsaran were not safe from relegation, as they two will be joining Llandybie in the league below.
