Two men have been arrested following an incident at a Chester village pub where a number of people were attacked.

Police are appealing for information following the incident, which happened in the early hours of Sunday, April 28 at the Greyhound Inn.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At around 12.15am on Sunday, April 28, police were called to reports of a disturbance at the Greyhound Inn on Seahill Road, Chester.

"Officers attended the scene and found that a number of people had been assaulted.

"A 20-year-old man from Chester and a 24-year-old man from Ellesmere Port were both arrested on suspicion of assault. They have since been bailed while officers continue with their enquiries.

"An investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident.
