Experience ‘no money’ markets, live music, and help write a community manifesto.

It is all thanks to three weeks of events with The People’s Palace of Possibility, at the new Ingram's Yard venue in Ventnor.

A unique interactive installation is coming to the Isle of Wight from Friday, May 3.

Visitors will step inside The People’s Palace of Possibility’s multi-coloured, geodesic dome to experience gigs, community meals, workshops, and performances.

Ventnor Exchange plan to revive and restore the old building and yard to build a new creative and community hub in the heart of Ventnor.

The People’s Palace of Possibility will be the first project to be hosted in the space.

The People’s Palace of Possibility is a touring project by Sheffield-based theatre and interactive arts company The Bare Project.

Inside the Palace you will find a radio station, broadcasting live every day, video and sound installations, and a tiny building site where you can model what you want to see happen at Ingram’s Yard.

It has travelled across the country gathering ideas, artefacts, and audio recordings from local people in the Highlands of Scotland to central London.

In Ventnor, The Palace has been co-curated by local artists Tracy Mikich and Teresa Grimaldi.

It will host live music from Paul Armfield and Jess Ong, talks with local councillor Sarah Redrup and Julie Jones-Evans, wild food workshops, Saturday markets, and Sunday sessions exploring themes of self-sufficiency and the future of AI.

Every Friday night there will be a community feast with a difference.

Malaika Cunningham, artistic director of The Bare Project, said: "We’re excited to be working with Ventnor Exchange and the local community of Ventnor to use The Palace as a way to dream of what future activities and events could take place in a newly refurbished Ingram’s Yard and how they could best serve the local community.

"Through the People’s Palace of Possibility we’re also building an archive of people’s political feelings right now, and how they would enact change."

"We can’t wait to see what Ventnor has to say.”

The People’s Palace of Possibility is open from Friday, then Wednesday to Sunday for the following three weeks.
