A DEDICATED team of young volunteer police cadets joined forces with takeaway workers to help tidy up a town over the weekend.
The Harwich Police Cadets took to the streets of Harwich alongside employees at McDonald’s to carry out a litter-pick on Saturday.
Collectively the two eco-conscious outfits managed to rid the surrounding environment of more than 13 bags of disregarded waste.
A spokesman for the Harwich Police Cadets said: “This proved to be another success whereby all involved collected a significant amount of rubbish in Harwich.
“Litter is a big ongoing problem in all communities, it is always rewarding to help clean up our community.
“On these events we work alongside McDonalds in Harwich, who are great supporters of our unit,
“Thank you to the members of public who spoke with the cadets thanking them for their hard work.”
