“Leigh’s Banksy” is hoping to raise vital funds for Southend in Sight by selling one of her famous postbox toppers.
Linda Catling started crocheting themed hats for the postbox three doors down from her home on Marine Parade.
The latest topper of a speed camera - designed to raise awareness of speeding on the road, is now being auctioned.
Linda lost sight in one of her eyes at the start of the pandemic and feared she may not be able to knit again.
She now hopes to raise as much money as possible for the charity who helped her during her diagnosis by auctioning her speed camera awareness topper.
The charity have praised “the very wonderful” Linda for supporting them, branding her an “absolute star”.
