SEVERAL areas of the district have been added to the Covid hotspot map, according to the latest figures.
According the Government's map, parts of the district have recorded three or more cases in the week to May 4.
On the outskirts of the Braintree district, Grest Dunmow has recorded a spike in cases with nine in the last seven days.
Bocking has recorded a total of four cases in the same time period.
Great Leighs and The Walthams has recorded a total of six and Flitch Green, Felsted and High Easter have three.
The rest of the borough has recorded less than three, meaning the virus is classed as "suppressed" in these areas.
They are not recorded on the hotspots map any longer.
In the week leading up to May 4, the whole district recorded 16 new cases and the infection rate stands at 10.5 per 100,000 people.
This comes as more than a quarter of people in Braintree are now fully vaccinated against Covid.

NHS data shows 34,046 people had had both jabs by May 2, equal to 29 per cent of those aged 16 and over.
f those to have received both jabs, 31,614 were aged 45 and over – 43% of the age group.
It means 4,432 people aged between 16 to 44 have received both doses.
