A MAN in his 70s has had to pay out in court after threatening to destroy someone’s cat.
Brian Wooder, 77, of Alexandra Road, Burnham attended Chelmsford Magistrates Court on December 17.
Wooder admitted to threatening to destroy the victim’s cat, without lawful excuse, intending that the victim would fear that the threat would be carried out.
Wooder received a six-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £167 in court charges.
