A SHOPLIFTER stole a huge amount of meat from a supermarket.

Police were called over the theft at the Budgens store in Orion Parade, Hassocks.

It happened at 2.45pm on Friday, July 31.

Now officers have issued an appeal to track down a suspect they want to speak to in connection with shoplifting.

An image shows a woman aged in her mid 30s with long black hair. She wore a black and red Adidas T-shirt and black shorts, and wore a face mask.

The incident was reported on Tuesday, August 4.

Sussex Police said: “We are seeking the identity of the woman in the photograph, who we would like to speak to in connection with shoplifting.

“We received a report regarding the theft of a large quantity of meat from the store.”
