PEOPLE in Bradford have been urged to be aware of a scam featuring fake Netflix emails.
Action Fraud says it has received more than 2,000 reports of the scam nationwide reported to be from the popular streaming service.
The fake email features links to genuine-looking websites that are designed to steal your Netflix password and personal and financial information.
It also includes that the email recipient’s account is ‘on hold’ due to payment issues.

The Action fraud message says: "Your bank, or any other organisation, won’t ask you to share personal information over email or text. If you need to check that it’s a genuine message, call them directly.
“Spotted a suspicious email? Forward it to the Suspicious Email Reporting Service (SERS) – Report@phishing.gov.uk.”
Action Fraud is the reporting centre for fraud and cyber crime committed in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
It has been set up for the reporting of incidents in which people have been scammed, defrauded or experienced cyber crime.
