DO you know where Robin Hood was from? Or where the Hairy Hands of Dartmoor are?

It seems like Yorkshire people’s knowledge of UK landmarks that are home to myths and legends is falling below the national average, if a new survey is anything to go by.

For that reason, CitySuites, surveyed 2,000 people to test their knowledge on how much they really know about some of the most famous myths and legends located nearby to some of the most popular staycation destinations in the UK.

When analysing data it was found that Yorkshire residents were better at locating some lesser-known legends compared to the national average.

These were, for example, Pendle Witches (Lancaster) and Hairy Hands of Dartmoor (Devon).

On the other hand, Yorkshire residents struggled to correctly locate The White Wizard (Alderley Edge), The Borrowed Cauldron (Surrey), Ordsall Hall (Salford), and The Grey Lady (Wiltshire) in comparison to the rest of the UK.
