A NUMBER of KFC branches in Bradford are taking part in the government’s half-price eating out scheme this month.

KFC has signed up for the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, offering guests in the UK 50 per cent discount, up to £10 per person, when dining in every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until August 31.

The fast food chain is running the scheme across approximately 580 restaurants through August.

The participating KFCs in Bradford are:

  • Former Wiltex House, Odsal Road
  • Ingleby Road, Girlington
  • The Broadway, Bradford city centre
  • Baildon Retail Park, Otley Road, Shipley
  • Thornbury, Gallagher Leisure Park
  • Harrogate Road, Greengates
  • Keighley Retail Park, Hardings Road, Keighley

The scheme was announced by Chancellor Rishi Sunak earlier in the summer to give pubs, restaurants and bars after lockdown restrictions were eased.

The scheme was hailed a success by pub bosses in the Bradford district after its first day of operation yesterday.

KFC has reopened its sites with a number of extra measures to make diners feel comfortable including Perspex screens, extra sanitising, capacity limits and socially distanced tables.

Paula MacKenzie, Managing Director of KFC UK & Ireland, said: “We’re really excited for the launch of the Eat Out To Help Out scheme today.

“It’s exactly what the high street needs after such a challenging time for lots of restaurant across the country.

“We’re happy to share this moment with local businesses, who like us, will appreciate this extra leg up to give the hospitality sector a much-needed boost.

“And Rishi, if you’re at a loose end at this month, you’re welcome to visit. I’d recommend the Ricebox – ideal lunch.”
