A midwife and paramedic couple have won a free wedding after entering a competition set up to reward our NHS heroes.
Basildon Hospital midwife Natalie Chapman and her fiancé Mark Bomford, who is a paramedic, have been given £26,000 to spend on their big day.
The couple were said to be stunned to learn they had won the top prize and were congratulated by the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust on Twitter.
The competition was organised by a group of wedding suppliers across Essex who wanted to give back to the NHS during the coronavirus crisis.
Huge congratulations to our very own Mark Bomford - a paramedic from Basildon and his bride to be, Natalie Chapman, a midwife at Basildon Hospital. They’ve won their wedding day!
