A MASTERCHEF champion will bring her Malaysian Supper Club to Bournemouth on Wednesday, February 26.

Ping Coombes, who won the prestigious television competition in 2014, will be holding her Makan - which means "eat" in Malaysian - Clubs at Tonic Social on Exeter Road.

The informal evening will see guests enjoy a four course surprise menu, consisting of a variety of flavours, textures and classic dishes from Malaysia. In true supper club style, diners will sit together on shared tables.

Since being crowned champion, Ping has been appointed a Malaysia Kitchen Ambassador, opened her own Ping Pan Asia Restaurant at Selfridges, and is now writing her second book following the success of her first, Malaysia.

She said: "Makan Club has been so popular in my hometown of Bath and I've been hoping to introduce it to new locations across the south west. The team at the Hilton and Tonic Social are fellow food lovers and we are looking forward to bringing the warmth of Malaysia to Bournemouth."

Tickets to the supper clubs are £45 per person, available at https://www.tonic.social/ping-coombes
