A CRASH left a woman trapped in her car in Leigh.
London Road is partially blocked in both directions between Thames Drive and Medway Crescent.
Traffic is heavy on the road and delays could be possible for those heading in that direction.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travelling in the area.
An Essex County Fire and Rescue Service spokesman, said: “Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision on London Road, Leigh at 1.50pm.
“On arrival, crews reported that two vehicles had collided and a woman was trapped in her vehicle.
“Crews worked to release the casualty by 3.15pm and she was left in the care of the ambulance service.”
The ambulance service and Essex Police have been contacted for comment.
