A CONTEMPORARY country music duo will be providing the entertainment in the Vale of Clwyd later this month.

Tennessee Waltz will be the guests of Ruthin All Styles Music on the evening of Thursday, January 30.

Jimmy Rae and Sarah-Lou form the classic and contemporary country music duo Tennessee Waltz.

Playing a mixture of covers and original songs, they bring beautiful harmonies to a repertoire that draws upon some of the greatest country-flavoured songs from the last half-a-century.

There will be something for everyone, from Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and the Everly Brothers to The Eagles, Neil Young and Emmylou Harris, as well as covers of the more recent hits of Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert and the Shires.

They are always guaranteed to entertain with some great covers amongst their home-grown songs, including the likes of Elton John’s classic “Roy Rogers is Riding Tonight”.

The last time they appeared at the club, they wowed those present with a segue of two songs written 60 years apart.

“Eddie’s Guitar”, penned by Jimmy, tells the story about Eddie Cochran who died in a tragic motor accident during his British tour back in April 1960, followed by a fabulous version of the American rock star’s classic “Summertime Blues”.

Tickets for the January 30 concert at the Feathers Inn, Ruthin are just £5 on the door, or from https://www.wegottickets.com/event/492237
