EMERGENCY services attended an accident involving a car and a motorbike in Bournemouth earlier today.

Police and paramedics attended the scene, at Christchurch Road, near Iford Roundabout, at 2.42pm.

A Dorset Police spokesman told the Daily Echo: "We attended after reports of a collision involving a car and a motorbike.

"One person was serious injured, but those injuries are not life-threatening nor life-changing."

BCP Council also attended to clear fuel from the road.

The vehicles involved were a yellow Suzuki motorbike and a grey Audi A5 car.

The road was fully reopened by 4.10pm.
