HENRY Woods has completed his return to Concord Rangers on a 28-day loan deal from Gillingham.

The midfielder enjoyed a stint with the Beach Boys earlier in the campaign, where he impressed boss Danny Scopes.

Scopes was eager to extend Woods’ temporary spell at the Aspect Arena but League One outfit Gillingham - who rate the 20-year-old highly - decided against allowing the midfielder to remain with the National League South club.

However, Scopes has been working hard to bolster his options since and remained in close contact with the Gills in the hope that he would be able to seal Woods’ return.

And Woods is now back with Concord after a 28-day loan deal was confirmed.

Meanwhile, four promising youngsters who have been in fine form for the Beach Boys’ under-18 side have been rewarded by signing first team forms.

Alfie Larkin, James Sweetman, Charlie Williams and Taylor Armstrong are now on the first team’s books as they look to continue their development.

Scopes has made it clear since he took over as Concord’s boss in May that he was looking to give more opportunities to those coming through the Beach Boys’ youth system.

And the quartet will now be hoping to show they are capable of stepping up to the first team.
