IT could be a tough night for Labour in Warrington at the General Election.

A leading polling website - Electoral Calculus - is predicting that the Tories will win Warrington South from Labour.

And while Labour is still on track to win Warrington North, the latest data shows it could be at a hugely reduced majority.

Electoral Calculus, found at electoralcalculus.co.uk, predicts the next British General Election result using analysis of opinion polls and electoral geography.

The current prediction is based on opinion polls from November 1 to November 9, sampling 8,210 people.

In Warrington South, it predicts that Faisal Rashid's 2,549 seat majority from 2017 will disappear and that Conservative Andy Carter will win a majority of more than 3,000.

It also predicts a huge increase in Liberal Democrat votes.

In Warrington North, the prediction is also for a huge swing to the Tories.

Helen Jones won the seat with a 9,582 majority in 2017.

She announced she would not stand in 2019, so Charlotte Nichols is the Labour candidate.

She is predicted to win the seat for Labour - but with a majority of around 1,000 from Conservative Wendy Maisey.

Overall, the website is predicting a Conservative majority of more than 100.

Of course these are all only predictions, based only polling - which has been wrong in the past.
