POLICE remain at the scene of an incident in the city centre.
An area outside the old Royal Pavilion Tavern pub in Castle Square, Brighton has been cordoned off.
Police tape sealed off an area outside the doorway of the pub, which closed last month, and a neighbouring office building.
Community support officers were at the scene.
It is not yet clear what happened, but the police have been contacted for comment.
The Argus was told that no details could be confirmed on the telephone, and a statement will appear online shortly.
