A man has been charged with various offences following reports a shop worker was threatened with a knife in Westcliff.
Robert Hunter, 26, of Rochford Garden Way, Rochford, is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court today, charged with possession of a knife, theft, using threatening behaviour, violent behaviour at a police station and two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker.
It follows reports that a worker was threatened after challenging a man in North Road at around 9.40pm on Sunday 15 September.
The Essex Police Dog Section attended and detained a man with assistance from Police Dog Zane.
