A WOMAN hopes to raise £200 after braving the shave for a cancer charity.
Marie Ellefsen, 40, from Greenstead, had her shoulder length locks cut off in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
She had her hair shaved at Hair Vogue, in The Centre, earlier this month.
Marie said: "My nan Alice Warner died from cancer and I have two friends who have just been diagnosed with cervical cancer so it's close to my heart.
"I didn't have to pay for my hair shave so I put £20 in my donation box."
Marie has already raised £140 and hopes to reach her £200 target.
Macmillan Cancer Support provide physical, financial and emotional support to help people who have been diagnosed with the disease.
