MUSIC fans were treated to a nostalgic evening as Stow Maries Aerodrome staged its proms concert on Saturday.
Visitors tucked into afternoon teas as they watched the Great Dunmow Town Band perform from an old hangar.
There was even audience participation as the crowds waved flags to Land of Hope and Glory and Rule Britannia, among other solo performances and big band numbers.
Tiptree strawberries and cream were served at the interval before the band continued to entertain with its last set as the sun went down.
An airfield spokesman said: "There was no flying that day but at the end of July the aerodrome will host its last flying event of the season, with Stow at War."
