A WOMAN was sexually assaulted in a seafront hostel.
The victim called police after being inappropriately touched by a man who was staying in the same room at the Smart Sea View Hostel in St Catherines Terrace, Hove, on Saturday afternoon.
The 25-year-old victim said the man touched her bottom.
After she reported the attack to the police he was removed.
She said: “He just turned round and grabbed me and pinched my a***.
“I asked what he was doing and he just got really aggressive. I went downstairs to speak to reception staff. I was really upset.
“I just want to know that nothing is going to happen to anyone else staying in this hostel.
“They need to have some proper policies and take a zero tolerance approach to this kind of behaviours.”
When The Argus contacted the hostel yesterday we were told no manager was available.
The man who answered the phone and said he was in charge refused to give his name or discuss the matter.
Sussex Police said they had attended the hostel and advised the man - who denied the assault - about his behaviour.
The victim said she was happy with the outcome and wanted no further action taken against the man.
