A MAN has now been charged with burglary after a popular jewellery store in Colchester was broken in to during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Essex Police officers were called to Nicholas Jewellers on the High Street in the town centre shortly before 3.20am on Sunday 14, following reports of a break-in.
After attending the scene, police arrested Phillip Spicer, 48, of Monkwick Avenue, Colchester on suspicion of burglary.
He has now been charged with burglary and is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today.
Witnesses and anyone with information have been urged to come forward and contact Colchester Police Station on 101 quoting reference 42/111438/19.
